9/11

Hey! Welcome to my blog! My first post on here today will be about the historical event that happened on this day 17 years ago. On September 11, 2001, two airplanes were hijacked out of Boston Logan Airport that were set to go to LAX. These two planes, flight 11 and flight 175 crashed into the WTC “twin towers” in New York. President bush declared this an “apparent terrorist attack on out country” at 9:30 AM that morning. Searches continued for days after these attacks for all of the people who went missing and died. Two other flights got hijacked, one crashing into the western side of the Pentagon and one crashing into an open field in Pennsylvania. All planes in the USA were grounded for the first time in History. Over 2,753 people died. Over 6,000 were injured. This left the country shook for years and years to come. We can learn from these terrible events by putting new rules in our airports so that this would never happen again. We can mourn the loss of the ones many people held so dear and close to them, but as a country we can push forward and move past this awful event, but learn from it.
